This December, trixnet is celebrating its' first anniversary as an online entity. As our
main page suggests, trixnet bears a short and (kinda) complicated history.
trixnet officially began as a mess of online game servers under the domain "trixnet.ro", registered in late December 2023.
This "network" operated in early 2024, only to lay dormant for a little while. Later (spring-summer 2024), it served as
the founder's blog on the now-defunct cohost.org.
Even later, this neocities page was created when a few people came together
to create a "collective", soon splitting because of a lack of a clear purpose to its existence. Finally,
in the late fall of 2024, the trixnet media collective was assembled.
Today, the trixnet media collective stands as a "radical art collective producing 100% human-made music and more".
This is a hastily put-together tagline that was chosen on day one. It's true, currently, as the one thing we have
produced so far is music and shitposts. A combination of the two, actually.
In 2024, trixnet released two albums, Deep House 2024 and Millions of Dead Blox.
Deep House 2024
is a "revival" of the *mind-blowing* Deep House 2023 music genre, that started with the release of
"Contritum Tympanum', a shitcore music album that is now all lost to time,
except for one single track,
along with snippets that you can hear in this compilation
of TikTok videos made to promote the album. Contritum Tympanum was originally made by trixnet's founder and outernaut beatrix von hayden in
the summer of 2023 while she was supposed to study for her baccalaureate exam.
Millions of Dead Blox
released in the fall of 2024 after a headmate said, "what if you took all these anarchist and punk songs you like and made them
sound like an old roblox song?". The result, we think, speaks for itself.
On December 14th, the trixnet.ro domain will be renewed and its website will briefly come back online, built on top of an old backup of it that I found. This will set December 14 as the official birthday of trixnet. Additionally there will be an anniversary livestream on our twitch channel. Here we'll play our whole discography on shuffle, along with a game and some commentary on recent events pertaining to us and our place(s) of origin, namely the cohost shutdown and the ongoing Romanian electoral circus...
In 2025 trixnet will continue to make music and begin work on a small video game. That's all we have to say on the matter!
