Greetings, trixnet community!

The time period that our calendars still call winter is officially over. What we once knew as winter, we only got to experience in the last two weeks of February. One week we saw nonstop snowfall, and in the other we watched the snow melt. After three hours into the month of March, the snow is completely gone; only stray patches remain in a couple of backyards. Now we get ready to face the spring, where, for the next six months, Capital will show us just how much it has contributed to ecological annihilation. Worry not, though; for, perhaps, next year we won’t have to wait. Imagine, just for a minute - being able to go to the beach year-round, without having to go to another hemisphere!

Or maybe you would like to celebrate your mother. No, really; you have two days to do this in March, which are only seven days apart. In February we talked about “Valentine’s Day” and how all it celebrates is the capitalist family structure. March 1st and March 8th are no different, to be completely honest. You have to be happy about the (heterosexual and comprised of exclusively 2 cis people) relationship that you’re in, same way you have to be “grateful” to your mother, regardless of whether either did you any good in life. Any abuse and damage you might have faced at the hands of your mother or your spouse shall go unheard on this joyful day of celebration of this sacred relationship. When you are beaten or neglected, one thing does remain sacred between you and them - money! Out of this, either way, will come out another piece of meat for the grinder. Look on the bright side, though: the more tender the meat, the better it is for the business owner eating you. Happy Mother’s Day!

But I digress. The trixnet media collective has updates and news for our latest month. To begin, you may already know the status that we have had since January, that of an indefinite hiatus, caused by personal issues befalling a couple of us here in the collective. Sometime towards the end of February we managed to congregate and settle on a date by which to end this hiatus. This date is April 13. We can now say that we will end the hiatus by April 13 because things are improving faster than expected. Our webmaster is currently working on redesigning our neocities page, which is why we could afford to move trixnet monthly here this early.

trixnet has not been completely idle, though. In February we started a little social media operation. Previously, we had a reddit page which we did nothing with and decided to abandon because, as we all know, reddit fucking sucks. However, we decided not to risk keeping it that way, so we made another reddit account and got r/trixnet back. From here, we will slow down our reddit activity and only using it for “housekeeping” the subreddit. If you are part of our community, you are free to participate in it however you’d like once the restriction is lifted.

Along the way we made two other subreddits called EastEuroDeprogram and TheDpeogram. These are parody subs mimicking the culture around the Deprogram podcast. trixnet is not in any way affiliated with this podcast or its hosts, and we do not support any of it. We simply made these subreddits with the purpose of building cred on the site. Like r/trixnet, this does not mean that we will abandon them - we will maintain the same degree of activity in them.

So, after r/trixnet in February, what will we be doing in March? As stated at the beginning of this issue, we will be redesigning the neocities page, first of all. With our reddit mission accomplished, we believe that we have established our online presence far enough, and thus, trixnet will be restructuring itself throughout the course of this month. This means we will be settling on an actual theoretical basis for our activity and how we are organized. Throughout or existence, trixnet has been inspired somewhat by the Situationist International, and we are currently studying their work and methods further in order to decide whether or not we settle on a situationist-adjacent model or adopt something else.
